Exclusive Kellan Lutz interview by Kellan Lutz Fan At the end of February I was in talks with Ryan, Kellan's agent for a site exclusive interview, but due mix ups with other interviews, I got this interview a little too late. It doesn't matter because it's still a great little interview! What is your middle name? Christopher What is one of your guilty pleasures? I love strawberries, anything strawberry; my favorite is Cold Stone strawberry ice cream with strawberry chunks mixed in with a little strawberry syrup! What kind of music do you listen to? I really like the beats to music more than anything. I listen to a lot of different types of music, so it just matters what kind of mood I am in, from working out to painting, from cleaning my place to playing with my dog at the park. My favorite bands are: Modest Mouse, Citizen Cope, 2-pac, Blue Man Group, Blue October, Chevelle, Coheed and Cambria, Damian Marley, Dilated Peoples, God Lives Underwater, Incubus, Jack Johnson, Lupe Fiasco, Matisyahu, Nickelback, OneRepublic, Orgy, A Perfect Circle, The Postal Service, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Until June What was High School like for you? High School was one of my most favorite times in my life! I did everything I could possibly think of with my four years of high school, from taking as many classes as possible to participating in as many clubs and activities my school had to offer, from playing sports like football while playing the trombone at half time each game to hanging out and being adventurous with my friends outside of school. I loved high school and wish it lasted a lot longer than those four years. Since I never really had a college experience High School is what I miss most. In your opinion, what would you say is your best and worst quality? My best quality would probably be how easy going and fun living I am. I just love to have fun and enjoy the life I have been given. My worst quality would probably be how competitive I can get. I love to win at anything and everything. Do you have a role model? My mother, she works her but off and puts everyone else’s needs in front of her own. At one time she took care of six of us boys while I was growing up!!! Now that’s a chore and a half. My mother is an amazing person. Who are your favorite actors? Robert Redford, George Clooney, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jeff Bridges, Jack Nickolson, Mel Gibson, Ben Kingsley Are you dating anyone? Yes, my beautiful, gorgeous, intelligent, fun loving girlfriend, actress, Kayla Ewell How long have you been smoking? I actually don’t smoke, I don’t like cigarettes! I have had to puff on some in previous projects for the character. What are some of your favorite foods? Candy!!!I love candy. I have a whole drawer in my room full of all sorts of sweets. I love cereal also, especially Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Captain Crunch. As far as dishes… I love Italian dishes as well as casseroles and Steak!!! I’m big on BBQing. Happy belated birthday, what did you do on your birthday? I hung out with the cast of Twilight and went on a crazy adventure with a loony cab driver. Haha, Good times, good times. You found the site yourself, do you look yourself up on the internet? Actually, my friend was the one who notified me of the site, and I was speechless, it’s amazing and I was surprised that someone made a fan site for me. To be honest I don’t use computers much, I’m good with them but I just get bored sitting in one place for too long, I always need to be active and doing something. I still don’t have a computer up here in Oregon, mine broke right before I flew out here in February, and so I result to using my cast member’s computers to check my emails. What do you like to do when you have free time? I love to travel, take my awesome dog Kola on hikes, snowboard, paint, rock climb, hunt, mostly anything out doors. I also love playing board games but it’s always hard for me to find other players, usually my friends are all gone at work or out of town when I’m back in California. You've been to a lot of places all around the world, what's your favorite place you've been and why? Mozambique- scuba diving is amazing there! I was able to scuba with Whale Sharks and Manta Rays. I love to snowboard everywhere and anywhere where snow is. If you ever go to Holland, let me know we'll have a guys night out! Will do, and I would love to actually go there, and it would be great to see the town with you there to show me around. So thanks for the offer, I will have to take you up on that sometime. What is the most fun project you've worked on, so far? Generation Kill- every kid’s dream- shoot guns, play marine, drive humvies, blow stuff up, It was great hanging out with 30 other cool guys throughout those 7 months all over Africa. The frat years I never got to experience since I didn’t belong to a frat in college. Such an amazing experience! Besides acting you'd love to one day direct movie, what kind of movie would you like to direct? Super independent type of movies, or action packed ones.

And the answers to the questions below are all "Twilight" related, thanks to Paula and the girls from Kellmett Happens for helping me with questions about his newest project. Have you read the books? Yes, love them all! If so, what do you think of the story and of Emmett as a character in general? The books are amazing and such an easy read, and that’s big for me to say since I really don’t read much. I LOVE EMMETT, not because I am playing him but he has a smaller role in the books yet I feel like he is such an essential character in all the books! He is the protector! I’m thrilled that I was chosen to portray him. Besides looks, do you think you are similar to Emmett in anyway, or are you total opposites? I AM EMMETT inside and out. How do you get into character? I get up out of bed; put my slippers on, and done! How are you and the cast getting along so far? This cast rocks! We get along so well together it’s like a real family which is great to see. Do you enjoy being a sex symbol? Haha that question made me laugh. I don’t think I am one, but if I was one, it would make me smile and I would be extremely thankful for all the support. There have been a few reports of cast members reading Livejournal and various online communities dedicated to Twilight. Have you visited any? Would you like to visit us? Like I said, I don’t have a computer to even do that, so no I haven’t been on to many sites, usually my cast mates will show me the new cool sites or messages. If you've read the books, does the cast look exactly as you would imagine? (I think you're actually the only Actor that everyone has agreed meets 'expectations' perfectly) Thank you for that, it means a lot, truly. I love all the choices for the roles, especially all the acting that the actors and actresses bring forth. The acting is so spot on with the characters. Everyone chosen for their roles are EXACTLY as I imagined them in the book. The casting directors did an amazing job. As for getting the role; were you approached because you had the right look, or did you hear of the role and audition out of interest? Now that’s a crazy story all in its own. I feel extremely lucky and blessed to have been chosen to play Emmett. I was in Africa shooting Generation Kill when my agents sent me the script for Twilight, and shortly after that Emmett was casted, so I was out of luck. I loved the script as well as the character of Emmett and was bummed that I didn’t have the chance to go out for it. After I got back from Africa and unwound a little bit my agents called me up and said that the actor that they first had for Emmett fell through and that they reopened the role up. My face lit up and so off to the audition I went. The rest is a blessing. Thank you Catherine for choosing me! Are you a hands on type of guy like Emmett? Extremely hands on, I love to build random things as well as take things apart and find out what makes them work Does answering these sorts of things seem like homework? Not at all, it’s really quite fun, especially reading fun questions like "how I feel about being a sex icon." Do you have anything to say to your new following of fans? Thank you all for all the great support you all have been showing me as well as everyone else involved in this amazing project. We all appreciate it!!! How does it feel to know you now have fang girls? Fanggirls is the term used for girls that are fans of vampires in general. Haha that’s awesome. I've never heard that term before but I like it. Fang Girls rock my world? There have been debates about how they're going to make you Vampires sparkle. Would you mind if a few fans were assigned to rub glitter on you? Please do! I have really pale skin that needs some sparkle badly!
